ESPN.com’s Craig Custance reports Jarome Iginla remained sincerely committed to sticking with the Flames at last check. However, Custance still suggests it’s time for both sides to move on:
Custance says “If the Flames were to move him, I’d immediately make the Los Angeles Kings the front-runners to add him but wouldn’t rule out Detroit, a team with cap space and a franchise motivated to win before Nicklas Lidstrom retires. Ken Holland loves talented veterans hungry for a Stanley Cup. I think Washington would be an interesting destination for Iginla, too, although it has more pressing needs. For Iginla to waive his no-trade clause, it would have to be to a team Iginla believes can win it all, which narrows the list down a little bit.”
